The new timetable for Edo state election as issued by INEC is as follows:

15th June - notice of election

16th June - collection of forms by political parties from INEC headquarters

16th June - 6th July, 2020 - Conduct of Party Primaries including resolution of 
disputes arising from the Primaries. 

21st June, 2020 - Commencement of campaign by Political Parties in 
public.

10th July - last day for forms submission

17th July - Publication of personal details of candidates

28th July, 2020 - Last day for withdrawal by candidate(s)/replacement of withdrawn candidate(s) by Political Parties.

August 3rd - last day for form submission by political parties

August 20th - publication of final list of nominated candidates

September 17th - last day for campaign

September 19th - election day

The rehabilitation of the Abraka Express Road by the Delta State Government is progressing smoothly and at full speed.  This project, which began about a month ago, is part of the state government's ongoing efforts to improve roads that have been causing challenges for residents in the state, particularly in Abraka, Ethiope East LGA and other parts of the state. As of early Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the rehabilitation of Abraka express road project has reached the MC-1 phase. This means the road is being prepared for asphalting, and the completion of the project is expected in the coming days. While we continue to appreciate the administration of His Excellency, RT. Hon. UNN Honours Delta’s Director of Protocol, Chief Sunday Onoriode

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has once again honoured Chief Sunday Onoriode, the Delta State Director of Protocol, for his outstanding contributions to education in Nigeria. Chief Onoriode, founder of Riode’s Education & Charity Foundation, received the award on Wednesday (9-7-25) during an event marking 60 years of Vocational and Technical Education at UNN and 10 years of its establishment as a faculty. The award was presented to him by the faculty of the institution. UNN’s Department of Vocational and Technical Education prides itself as first in Africa to offer a degree in the field. It also laid the foundation for similar programmes across tertiary institutions throughout the continent. The award was given to individuals who have made meaningful contributions to educational development through scholarships, support initiatives, and promoting knowledge and learning opportunities. I have watched with serious concern the unfolding political developments in Delta North and the implications they have for the political future of Anioma nation. As key political actors position themselves and jostle for supremacy in anticipation of the 2027 elections, the vile propaganda, blackmail, dissembling, and the pull-him-down syndrome for which Delta State has, sadly, become notorious, have come to the fore. The Aniomas are generally known to be disciplined, civil, respectful, and restrained in their political utterances and actions, but all that seem have evaporated into thin air because of the desperation of some politicians.
