We’ve Lost a Sage, Chief Onoriode Mourns Prof Utuama
The State Director of Protocol Delta State, Chief Sunday Onoriode, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Deputy Governor of Delta State Prof. Amos Utuama SAN, who departed after a prolonged illness at the age of 77.
In his heartfelt condolence message, Chief Onoriode described Prof. Utuama’s death as the loss of a sage.
The State Director of Protocol extended his sympathies to Utuama family, the people of Ughelli South, the Urhobo nation, the Nigerian Bar Association and the entire Delta State, acknowledging the profound impact of the loss.
“As a Deputy Governor, Prof Amos Utuama worked closely with his boss former Governor Uduaghan, leveraging on his extensive wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to support the administration’s implementation of innovative policies that benefited our dear state,” Chief Onoriode said.
“As an esteemed academic, Professor Utuama’s contributions to legal scholarship have left a lasting impact on the legal landscape in Nigeria”, he added.
“On behalf of my family, I join His Excellency the Governor of Delta State Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the good people of Ughelli South, the Urhobo nation and Deltans in mourning the departure of a true sage, a distinguished professor, and our former deputy Governor, Professor Amos Utuama”.
“It is my prayers that our good Lord comfort his family, and grant his soul eternal rest”.
