Amai King Hails Gov. Oborevwori Over Ongoing Road Projects in Amai

PRESS STATEMENT: THE IGWETE OF AMAI KINGDOM APPRECIATES GOV. SHERIFF, OKOWA, OTHERS, OVER THE COMMENCEMENT OF AMAI-ARAGBA ROAD

On behalf of the good people of Amai Kingdom, I wishes to express our profound gratitude to His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, for the flag-off of the Amai-Aragba road project in Amai Kingdom, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State. This long-awaited project marks a significant milestone in the development of our dear community and has rekindled the hopes of many who have tirelessly advocated for this progress over the last three decades.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the immediate past Governor of Delta State, whose proactive leadership ensured the inclusion of this vital project in the state budget prior to the conclusion of his administration. His commitment to sustainable development laid the groundwork for this uncommon achievement.

Our gratitude also goes to His Excellency, Sir Monday John Onyeme, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Hon. Chief Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Delta State, and all critical stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and other contributors, who played various roles in actualizing this perenial aspiration. Your collective efforts have demonstrated the power of collaboration in driving meaningful development.

We also take this opportunity to commend the state government for the ongoing construction of Ufegbe Road in Amai Kingdom, particularly for the remarkable efficiency and speed with which the project is being executed.

As work on the roads progresses, we urge the contractors to prioritize both quality and timely delivery to ensure that this projects meets the expectations of the people it is intended to serve. The completion of this roads will undoubtedly transform the socio-economic landscape of our dear community, neighbourhood and beyond. 

The Amai Kingdom remains hopeful that these projects will serve as a precedent for further development initiatives.

Works on the Rehabilitation of Abraka Express Road in Full Swing

The rehabilitation of the Abraka Express Road by the Delta State Government is progressing smoothly and at full speed.  This project, which began about a month ago, is part of the state government's ongoing efforts to improve roads that have been causing challenges for residents in the state, particularly in Abraka, Ethiope East LGA and other parts of the state. As of early Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the rehabilitation of Abraka express road project has reached the MC-1 phase. This means the road is being prepared for asphalting, and the completion of the project is expected in the coming days. While we continue to appreciate the administration of His Excellency, RT. Hon.
