Chief Onoriode Sponsors WAEC Enrollment for Abraka Students, Praises Gov. Oborevwori’s Education Reforms
In a significant step towards sustaining his yearly education support programme, fifty (50) students have benefited from the first phase of free WAEC enrollment initiative of Chief Sunday Onoriode, the State Director of Protocol Delta State, through his Riode Education & Charity Foundation.
The beneficiaries were drawn from Umiagwa Secondary School, Erho Secondary School, Abraka Grammar School, Ojeta Secondary School, Ojorho Secondary School, and Urhoka Secondary School all in Abraka, Ethiope East LGA of Delta State.
During the enrollment events, Dr. Godwin Omegwe, the coordinator of Riode Education & Charity Foundation, spoke on behalf of Chief Sunday Onoriode.
The State Director of Protocol urged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously, reminding them the importance of hard work, discipline, and dedication in their academic pursuits.
Chief Onoriode expressed his gratitude to Delta State Governor, His Excellency, RT Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the ongoing educational reforms in the state. He also praised the governor’s support for students, particularly the timely and yearly approval of bursary payments for Delta students in higher institutions.
He encouraged the students to imbibe reading culture, adding that education is not just about passing exams but also about acquiring knowledge and skills for personal and professional growth.
Furthermore, he urged the students and their families to pray for Governor Oborevwori, noting that the Governor’s administration is focused on improving the quality of education in the state and creating opportunities for young students to excel.
The State Director of Protocol reiterated his commitment to supporting the education of young people in Delta State and expressed his belief that the investment in students’ education today will yield great rewards tomorrow.
The Riode Education & Charity Foundation's activities includes school fees payments for students in higher institutions, provision of learning materials for students in primary and secondary schools, free JAMB, WAEC, and NECO enrollments as well as welfare packages for students.
