Exercise Caution: Don’t Drag UPU into the Mud Out of Ignorance or Malice.

It is unfortunate that some individuals are using the recent visit by the leadership of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) to former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as an opportunity to insult both the UPU leadership and the Urhobo people, as well as the immediate past governor himself.  Some are even attempting to portray Okowa as an “outsider,” undermining his contributions and sacrifices for Urhobo Nation. This conduct is not only disrespectful but also an attempt to sow division among Urhobo people and other tribes. The visit by the UPU leadership to the former governor had been planned and a date fixed, even before Okowa’s invitation by the EFCC. The UPU visit was to officially thank Sen. Okowa for the total support he gave to their son H.E. Gov Oborevwori’s Durable Projects Transforming Delta, Says Chief Onoriode….Appreciates Support Group

The Delta State Director of Protocol, Chief Sunday Onoriode, has called on Deltans to sustain their support and prayers for the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.  Making the call, he said the governor's administration is advancing Delta with durable projects aimed at transforming the state and giving it a much-needed facelift. Speaking on Sunday in Oria-Abraka, where he attended a meeting with his support group, the Onos Loyalists in Ward 3, Chief Onoriode commended Governor Oborevwori for turning the state into a construction site.
